Dr. Nelly Tieu


Dr. Nelly Tieu received her Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo in Biomedical Sciences. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo, graduating on the Dean’s Honours List. Dr. Tieu completed her ocular disease externship at FYidoctors in Grande Prairie, Alberta. There, she gained valuable experience in the management of many ocular conditions including dry eyes, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, uveitis, and foreign body removal.

Dr. Tieu is passionate about patient education and enjoys taking the time to help patients understand their vision and eye health. She is a member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario, Canadian Association of Optometrists, and Ontario Association of Optometrists.

In her spare time, she enjoys playing board games, snowboarding, and cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Due to Covid-19 we have taken extensive measures to keep our staff and patients safe. Please call or email prior to coming in so that we can book a time and notify you of our safety protocols in order to maintain social distancing.

If you need to order your contact lenses please call or email us and we will ship them to you directly. If you prefer, our Optometrists are still offering virtual eye care when possible.

We ask that if you or someone you live with has been ill in the last 14 days, you have traveled outside Canada in the last 14 days and/or you have been diagnosed/exposed to COVID-19 in the last 30 days that you refrain from making an appointment at this time.

*Please note our Sunday hours have been tentatively changed to match the current mall hours of 11-5pm.
